Your pickleball game has the basics down — you can serve, you know the rules, and you've got some matches under your belt. Now it's time to turn those basics into confident, consistent play. This fall, Long Island Pickleball Pros is launching a brand-new 6-week Advanced Beginner League in Rockville Centre, and spots are open now.

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM (90 minutes each week)
Where: Rockville Centre Recreation, 111 North Oceanside Road, Rockville Centre, NY

Why You'll Love It

Structured weekly play, real progress. Instead of hoping to find a good game, you'll have a guaranteed spot on court every Wednesday evening. Playing with the same group week after week is the fastest way to sharpen your serves, returns, and court positioning, and to feel more comfortable in real match situations.

The right level of competition. This league is designed for advanced beginners — players who are past the first-timer stage but aren't yet ready for fast-paced advanced play. You'll be matched with people at your level, so every game is challenging, fun, and fair.

A great way to meet people. Pickleball is as social as it is competitive. Six weeks of playing alongside the same community is a perfect way to make new friends on Long Island and build your confidence for open play and tournaments.

Convenient timing and a great location. A 5:30 PM start makes it easy to head over after work, and Rockville Centre Recreation is a local, easy-to-reach venue.

Who Is This League For?

This league is perfect for players who:

Know how to serve and understand how the game is played
Have played pickleball before and want more consistent match play
Are ready to move beyond casual rallies into a more organized league setting
Want to improve while having fun with a friendly, supportive group

Please note: this is not a first-time-player program. Players should know how to serve and play, and should have played before.

Easy Registration and Payment

Booking takes just a minute online. The league fee is $150 and can be paid with Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, cash, or check (checks and cash can be dropped off at RVC Recreation). Space is limited, and if the league fills up, you can join the waitlist so you're first in line if a spot opens. Need to make a change? Just give 48 hours' notice and we'll take care of you.
